Key Responsibilities:
Perform hands-on vehicle service, diagnostics, and troubleshooting in OEM dealerships/workshopsDevelop automotive diagnostic content with minimum 2 years of hands-on experienceMap ESI standard texts to OEM texts for Automotive Aftersales & Aftermarket diagnostic tester softwareCreate requirement specifications for Automotive Aftersales & Aftermarket diagnostic tester softwareDevelop end-to-end diagnostic content for all automotive systems including engine management, electric & hybrid systems, brake control, infotainment, ADAS, transmission, HVAC, and airbagsAnalyze vehicle communication bus logs using various analyzersSimulate automotive systems using simulator solutions and in conjunction with OE testersDesign and create workflow or test sequences using IDEs like BDX or Grade-XEvaluate OE diagnostic data, derive useful insights, and implement findings in target testerPerform on-vehicle validation of implemented diagnostic content and create test reportsConduct benchmarking and reverse engineering of aftersales & aftermarket diagnostic testersEvaluate coverage of aftermarket tester by performing tests on various vehicle brands and systems across different markets and create test reportsReview deliverables thoroughly and provide recommendationsEngage in continuous learning and self-developmentCollaborate closely with software engineering teams and technical experts from global teamsTravel to workshops and OE dealerships as needed for on-vehicle coverage, tracing, and release testing
Mandatory Qualifications:
Strong vehicle system knowledge, including sub-systems and componentsProven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot vehicles and make them roadworthyAbility to understand OE system descriptions, service & repair manualsAbility to independently handle diagnostic testersProficiency with diagnostic testers including VIDA, Xentry, GDS, ADT, SDT-II, DiagBox, HDS, Launch, Autel, G-Scan, and ZenithGood knowledge of wiring diagrams and conventionsGood knowledge of Bosch Aftermarket Diagnostic Tool - ESI [tronic]Sound knowledge of CAN, CAN FD, DoIP, UDS, and J1939Good knowledge of BDX-Bosch Data ExtensionExperience with analyzer & simulation tools from Vector or Samtec such as HSX and HS+Ability to handle various OEM testers
Good to Have:
Knowledge or experience in programming languages
B.E/B. Tech, Automotive Engineering
3-6 yrs
