Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Plant Operations to join our team in Norman, OK, United States. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all internal fabrication aspects of our manufacturing facility's operations, ensuring optimal efficiency, productivity, and compliance with safety and quality standards. This role overseas sheet metal fabrication, coil fabrication, paint, copper and tube bending.

Responsible for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people performance of the operations described above.Oversees approximately 300 employees across 3 shifts with a production manager and supervisor organization underneath. Develop and implement strategies to optimize plant operations, improve productivity, and reduce costsManages and coordinate all production activities and adherence to schedule; strong collaboration with production scheduling, inventory control, and internal logistics to produce and flow material optimallyAnalyze performance metrics and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiencyEnsure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality control measuresLead and develop a team of supervisors and staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvementCollaborate with other departments to align plant operations with overall business objectivesOversee equipment health and partner with engineering and maintenance organizations to minimize downtime and maximize productivityImplement and maintain lean manufacturing principles and quality management system Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in plant operations management, preferably in a manufacturing environmentProven track record of improving operational efficiency and productivityStrong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, quality control systems, and safety protocolsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-makingDemonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teamsProficiency in operations management software and data analysis toolsStrong budget management and financial acumenExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsSix Sigma certification is preferredIn-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance in the manufacturing industryExperience with supply chain management and vendor relationsAbility to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
