About this role
We are seeking a Software Business Analyst with a minimum of 3+ years working experience in a software development environment as a Business Analyst or Systems Administrator. Any experience working in the financial services industry is considered a plus. This position requires the ability to work closely with both business users and IT teams and is a great opportunity to get involved with an industry leading company and have a direct impact on enterprise level software projects. This position is located in Bethesda, MD.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Meet with decision makers, system owners, and end users to define business, financial, operations requirements, and system goalsLead design seasons in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business process, operations, and information process flowReview and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systemsCollaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications Create system design proposals Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisionsEnsure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systemsCreate system models, specifications, diagrams and charts to provide direction to system programmersCoordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews for modified and new systems and other post implementation supportProvide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systemsProvide guidance and/or instructions to IT team members
