About this role
As a New Product Introduction(NPI)/Electrical Product(EPE) Engineer, you will be part of a Hardware Engineering team that designs and manufactures products featuring Axiado’s ASIC and portfolio of cards used by the world’s leading server, switch and router OEMs. In this role you will be responsible for NPI - taking and supporting product from design stage to volume manufacturing. You will be working closely with designers, manufacturing team, suppliers, and contract manufacturers to ensure that hardware products test flow is properly introduced, released to manufacturing, and supported past production. While your focus will be on NPI/EPE, you will have opportunity (and be expected - depending on your experience) to contribute to adjacent areas such as test engineering, validation, and quality. Own manufacturing NPI/EPERelease BOM/new parts through ECOAnalyze end-to-end manufacturing capacity and work with team for future planningCollaborate with cross-functional partners on developing CM ability to prototype, launch, and transition to volume productionWork with factory and engineering teams to troubleshoot failuresParticipate in / help to define manufacturing processes (NPI, product engineering, validation, quality) Required Experience
Strong understanding of high-tech manufacturing processes, NPI activities, and product development lifecycleExperience working with off-shore contract manufacturersTrack record of launching complex electronics productsDemonstrate ability to analyze manufacturing test dataDesign for Manufacturability Experience, DFM, DFT, DFABill of Material Structures and BOM Risk Management: PLM tool experience, (e.g. Arena, Agile)Failure Analysis and Root Cause analysis of Contract Manufacturing issues.Prototype Testing: Coordinate the build and testing of prototypes during the NPI phase, debugging, analyzing results and providing feedback to design and manufacturing teams for product improvements.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Experience
5+ Years of experience in Manufacturing and Test EngineeringFamiliarity with server systems and server motherboardsFamiliarity with PCIe card manufacturing and testingSMT Process Improvement and Quality ControlAbility to Asses Contract Manufacturing gapsEE design tools experience.
