Role Summary
Owns Oracle database platforms end-to-end, driving performance, automation, and reliability at scale while contributing to cloud transformation and platform engineering initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Own Oracle database environments across lifecycle (Dev/Test/Prod) with end-to-end accountability for availability and performanceLead database installation, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle managementDrive proactive performance tuning and optimization strategiesDefine and implement robust backup and recovery strategies (RMAN)Design and manage high-availability architectures (RAC, Data Guard)Lead troubleshooting of complex incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and drive long-term fixesDrive automation-first approach using Shell, PL/SQL, Ansible, TerraformCollaborate with cloud, platform, and application teams for integrated deliveryEnsure compliance with operational governance (patching, change, security standards)Mentor junior DBAs (G4) and uplift overall team capabilityRequired Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database (19c/21c)Advanced SQL and PL/SQL expertiseDeep expertise in RMAN backup/recoveryStrong experience with Oracle RAC and Data GuardAdvanced performance tuning and query optimizationStrong Linux/Unix system administrationStrong scripting and automation capabilitiesPreferred Skills
Hands-on experience in OCI / AWS cloud database environmentsExperience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Ansible, Terraform)Exposure to Avaloq platform and banking domain systemsFamiliarity with observability/monitoring solutionsKey Expectations

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fieldExperience
