Element Six would like to recruit for the position of NPI & Technical Development Engineer.As part of the Engineering team, the primary role of the successful candidate will be to support the sourcing, evaluation and implementation of new technology that will deliver cost, capacity and capability improvements.The role will also include the development of processes to manufacture new ProductsThis role is a technical role, requiring attention to detail, as well as project management and problem solving through data analysis using good engineering & scientific methods.Duties and tasks
Primary role is to support the implementation of new technology that can be utilized to re-engineer manufacturing processes to deliver cost reduction as well as new and improved capabilityThe role involves working closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance & External SuppliersEnsure Safety is number one priority in all work carried out.Responsible to evaluate potential new technology and support the introduction and handover to ProductionCommissioning and optimization of new equipment & processesDevelop efficient, robust & repeatable manufacturing processesDevelop new process capability to support improved new product offerings.Follow through on action logs, project milestones and presentations. 3+ years of Engineering experienceAppropriate Engineering qualification. NFQ Level 8 or higher.Experience in Manufacturing and Project Management advantageousExperience with Equipment sourcing & implementation and/or Process Improvement Activity.Some experience in Six Sigma and lean systems is an advantage.Examines data to understand issues, draw conclusions, and solve problems.Excellent communication, people and team working skills.A team player with a can do, pro-active attitude and a passion for improvement.Good understanding of health & safety standards as well as quality standards.Proficiency in MS Office software.
