About this role

What You’ll Do

As a Veterinarian Technician, you’ll play an important role in providing safe, compassionate patient care and supporting the flow of our veterinary hospital. Your responsibilities may include:

Safely restraining patients using low-stress handling techniquesTriaging incoming veterinary patients and supporting efficient hospital flowCollecting and processing laboratory samplesObtaining accurate medical histories and maintaining patient recordsAssisting with diagnostic imaging and processing radiographsProviding nursing care for medical and hospitalized patientsAdministering medications as directed by the veterinary teamPreparing patients for surgery and assisting with veterinary proceduresMonitoring patients during anesthesia and recoveryCommunicating treatment plans and care instructions clearly with clientsSupporting veterinarians and other team members in delivering exceptional veterinary care What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an experienced Veterinarian Technician who is compassionate, dependable, calm under pressure, and comfortable multitasking in a busy veterinary environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

At least 1 year of veterinary experience preferredStrong animal restraint and handling skillsExperience with laboratory sample collection, medical histories, and radiographs is a plusExcellent communication and customer service skillsA team-first attitude and willingness to support coworkersStrong organizational and multitasking abilitiesA self-starter mindset and desire to continue advancing your veterinary knowledge and skillsThe ability to remain calm and compassionate in urgent or stressful situationsWhether you want to become an expert in your current role or take the next step in your veterinary career, Riverwalk Animal Hospital will support your growth through hands-on training, continuing education, and opportunities to learn.

Pay Range: $18-$20/hr

Position Type: Full-time

**Position requires late afternoon to evening availability. One weekend day required.

We're open 7 days a week until 10 PM.
