What You’ll Do
In this veterinary leadership role, you’ll be responsible for the administrative and operational functions that keep the hospital running smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:
Lead, schedule, train, coach, and support veterinary hospital staffPartner with leadership on staffing needs, hiring, onboarding, performance, and personnel mattersRecruit team members who align with the hospital’s culture and veterinary care standardsMaintain employee schedules and ensure appropriate staffing based on hospital needsAddress employee and client concerns fairly, professionally, and promptlyMaintain strong communication between veterinary staff, doctors, clients, and leadershipManage inventory, ordering, equipment, returns, and vendor relationshipsMonitor product quantities, pricing, and controlled-substance inventoryHelp implement and maintain hospital policies, including DEA/controlled substance and OSHA requirementsEnsure payroll is completed accurately and on timeSupport accurate patient records and proper use of veterinary terminologyAssist clients with questions about hospital policies, appointments, services, and treatment costsNotify the appropriate veterinary team members of emergency casesRepresent and market the hospital within the local community and veterinary community What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a Veterinarian Practice Manager who is compassionate, organized, confident, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities. The ideal candidate understands both the people and operational sides of running a veterinary hospital and can lead with fairness, accountability, and empathy.
You’ll be a strong fit if you have:
Veterinary Practice Manager or veterinary management experience preferredAt least 1 year of management experience or 3+ years of veterinary experience preferredStrong knowledge of veterinary medicine terminology and hospital operationsExcellent leadership, communication, and customer service skillsStrong organizational and computer skillsThe ability to make fair, unbiased decisions when managing peopleA self-starter mindset and desire to continue growing your veterinary leadership skillsFlexibility to adjust your schedule based on hospital needsWhether you’re an experienced Veterinarian Practice Manager or a veterinary professional ready to take the next step into leadership, Briarwood Animal Hospital offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the team, clients, and patients you serve. Salary starting at $52,000 depending on experience
