About this role
As a veterinary assistant, you’ll support our doctors and hospital team throughout the patient-care process. Your day may include:
Safely handling and restraining dogs and catsAssisting with patient intake and triageObtaining and documenting medical historiesCollecting and processing laboratory samplesAssisting with diagnostic imaging and radiographsProviding nursing care for hospitalized patients with varying levels of stabilityAdministering medications as directedPreparing patients for surgery and assisting during proceduresSupporting anesthesia monitoring and patient recoveryCommunicating treatment plans and recommendations clearly with clientsKeeping treatment and patient-care areas clean, organized, and ready for the next patientA successful veterinary assistant is comfortable multitasking, communicating with both clients and coworkers, and stepping in wherever help is needed. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a variety of cases and gain experience across multiple areas of veterinary medicine.
We’re seeking a veterinary assistant with at least one year of veterinary experience preferred. Experience with animal restraint, sample collection, medical histories, laboratory testing, radiographs, surgical assistance, or anesthesia monitoring is a plus.

Pay Range: $14 to $18 per hour
Schedule: Full-time| Monday-Friday, closed weekends
