What You’ll Do
In this veterinary receptionist role, you’ll help keep the hospital running smoothly while providing exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities will include:
Greeting and welcoming veterinary clients and their petsMaintaining a clean, organized, and inviting reception areaAnswering phones, emails, and client questions and directing concerns to the appropriate team memberHelping triage client concerns and determine the appropriate next stepsScheduling veterinary appointments to support an efficient daily workflowChecking clients in and out and accurately processing paymentsCommunicating veterinary services, instructions, and information clearly and compassionatelyProviding emotional support to clients during difficult or stressful medical situationsWorking closely with the veterinary team to help create a positive client and patient experienceThe ideal Veterinarian Receptionist understands that veterinary medicine can bring both exciting and emotional moments. You’ll need to be comfortable discussing a variety of medical outcomes while remaining compassionate, calm, professional, and discreet.

We’re looking for a Veterinarian Receptionist who is organized, dependable, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a busy veterinary environment. You’ll be a great fit if you’re a strong communicator who enjoys helping people and working alongside a collaborative team.
We’d love to meet you if you have:
At least 1 year of veterinary receptionist or veterinary experience preferredExcellent customer service and communication skillsA compassionate, calm, and team-oriented approachStrong organizational and multitasking abilitiesComputer skills and comfort learning veterinary software and technologyA self-starter mindset and desire to continue developing your skillsThe ability to remain professional and supportive during emotional client interactionsWhether you want to become an expert in your role or are looking to take the next step in your veterinary career, we’ll support your growth through hands-on, interactive training and ongoing development opportunities.
This position requires the ability to work around unpleasant odors and noises and may involve exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste, and potentially contagious diseases.
