About this role

What You’ll Do

As a Veterinarian Technician, you’ll support our doctors and veterinary team throughout the patient care process. Responsibilities may include:

Safely restraining veterinary patients using low-stress handling techniquesTriaging incoming patients and supporting efficient hospital flowCollecting and processing blood, urine, fecal, and skin samplesSetting up and processing laboratory testsObtaining accurate medical histories and maintaining veterinary medical recordsAssisting with diagnostic imaging and positioning patients for radiographsDental radiograph experience is a plusProviding nursing care and monitoring hospitalized veterinary patientsAdministering medications as directed by the veterinary teamPreparing patients for surgery and assisting with veterinary surgical proceduresMonitoring patients during anesthesia and recoveryCommunicating treatment plans and care instructions clearly with clientsSupporting veterinarians and other veterinary team members in providing compassionate patient care What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a Veterinarian Technician who brings a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and genuine passion for veterinary medicine. You’ll be a great fit if you’re dependable, communicate well, enjoy working as part of a team, and are eager to keep learning.

Ideal candidates will have:

At least 1 year of veterinary experience preferredCVT, RVT, or LVT credentials are a plusWeekend availabilityExceptional customer service and communication skillsKnowledge of preventive care, surgical procedures, and veterinary hospital flowStrong animal restraint and low-stress handling skillsExperience with laboratory sample collection and processingExperience positioning and capturing radiographsAnesthesia and surgical monitoring experienceAccurate medical record documentation skillsA self-starter mindset and desire to advance your veterinary knowledge and skillsetThe ability to receive and apply constructive feedback professionallyAs a Veterinarian Technician at Animal Medical Center, you’ll be part of a veterinary team that values collaboration, continued learning, and compassionate care. This position requires the ability to work around unpleasant odors and noises and may involve exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste, and potentially contagious diseases.
