Contribute to the preparation of Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs) for hydropower, renewable energy, and large infrastructure projectsConduct and support field surveys related to forestry, biodiversity, and ecological assessmentsSupervise and coordinate specialist studies and external consultants as requiredMonitor, analyze, and report on ecological, forestry, and environmental parametersSupport assessment of biodiversity impacts and development of mitigation and management plansApply knowledge of forest ecology, land-use management, and restoration practices within Lao PDRAssist in carbon-related forestry initiatives, such as forest carbon projects, baseline assessments, or monitoring frameworks, where applicablePrepare high-quality technical reports in line with international standards and client requirementsEnsure ESIA deliverables align with international safeguard frameworks, including IFC Performance Standards and the Equator PrinciplesManage tasks effectively to meet project timelines and deliverablesCollaborate with international and multidisciplinary project teams Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Forestry, Forest Ecology, Environmental Science, or a closely related disciplineStrong academic or professional grounding in forestry and forest ecology, including forest types, degradation, restoration, and biodiversity valuesMinimum 4+ years of relevant professional experience in environmental assessment or related fieldsExperience in Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) preparation is requiredProven technical report-writing skills, including clear structuring, accurate data presentation, and adherence to deadlinesPractical knowledge of GIS and remote sensing toolsFamiliarity with land-use management practices in Lao PDR is an advantageExperience or demonstrated interest in carbon credit or forest carbon systems is an advantageAbility to work independently and within multidisciplinary teamsWillingness to travel frequently to project sites We offer the following to qualified candidates:
