About this role

We're looking for an experienced Executive Assistant to provide high-quality support to our Chief Scams Officer (CSO).

You'll be a trusted adviser, proactive operator and the person who keeps a busy executive, leadership team, and Scams function running at their best. If you're energised by pace, thrive in complexity, and pride yourself on always being three steps ahead, we'd love to hear from you.

As the right-hand person to our CSO, you'll play a critical role in ensuring priorities stay on track and opportunities don't get missed. You'll be the hub connecting leaders, teams, and stakeholders across the business.

This role is initially a 6-month max term contract.

In this varied role, you will:

Proactively manage the CSO’s diary, commitments, operating rhythms and competing prioritiesCoordinate senior meetings, committees, forums and stakeholder engagements from planning through to follow-upPrepare agendas, meeting packs, minutes, action registers, presentations, reports and briefing materialsSupport the preparation, version control and circulation of Board, Committee and senior leadership papersBuild strong relationships with executives, leaders, regulators, industry bodies and other internal and external stakeholdersCoordinate travel, strategy days, workshops, team events and engagement activitiesDraft and edit professional communications and correspondence for different audiencesManage administrative and financial processes, including expenses, invoices, purchase orders and budget trackingSupport recruitment, onboarding, offboarding and other cyclical business activitiesIdentify practical ways to improve processes and reduce duplication through technology, systems and responsible use of AI. You’ll be an experienced Executive Assistant who is comfortable working autonomously and supporting senior leaders in a complex environment. You will also bring:

Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong planning, prioritisation and multitasking capabilityExceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, professional workSound judgement and the ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretionStrong stakeholder management and relationship-building skillsConfidence coordinating senior meetings, events and stakeholder engagementsExperience preparing agendas, minutes, reports, presentations and executive briefing materialsThe ability to support Board, Committee or governance administrationA practical, solution-focused approach and the ability to adapt as priorities changeAdvanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and OutlookA collaborative approach and willingness to work closely with other Executive Assistants and teams across AFCA.
