We are seeking an experienced and visionary Data Centre Market Sector Leader to drive our business growth and market expansion in India. Based in Gurgaon, you will lead our strategic initiatives in the data center sector, overseeing market development, business operations, and team leadership across the region. This is a pivotal role for a decisive professional who can shape the future of our data center business in one of Asia's most dynamic markets.
Develop and execute comprehensive market strategy for the data center sector in India, identifying growth opportunities and competitive positioningLead business development efforts to establish and expand client relationships with enterprise customers, cloud providers, and strategic partnersBuild, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and accountabilityDrive revenue growth and profitability through effective pricing strategies, service offerings, and go-to-market initiativesMonitor market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments to inform strategic decision-makingManage P&L responsibilities, ensuring operational efficiency and financial targets are metEstablish and maintain key stakeholder relationships with government bodies, industry associations, and potential partnersDevelop and present market performance reports, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to senior leadershipOversee service delivery excellence and customer satisfaction across all operationsIdentify and capitalize on emerging opportunities in cloud infrastructure, edge computing, and related technologies 20+ years of experience in the data center, infrastructure, or telecommunications industryStrong experience in a leadership or senior management role with direct P&L responsibilityProven track record of successfully developing and executing market strategies in competitive environmentsDeep understanding of the India data center market, including regulatory landscape and customer dynamicsStrong strategic planning, analytical, and problem-solving skillsPreferred: Experience with cloud infrastructure and hyperscale data center operationsPreferred: Background in international business expansion or multi-market managementPreferred: Knowledge of India's data protection regulations and compliance requirements Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teamsExcellent stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilitiesExperience in business development and sales strategyStrong communication and presentation skillsProficiency in financial analysis and performance metricsAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
