About this role

AECOM is seeking a highly talented, self-driven and motivated Project Manager to be based in New York, New York area working in the NY Metro Transit Rail Project and Design Management group.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Become part of a Transit Rail department that delivers complex design projects for various transit rail clientsPerform project management responsibilities on transit rail projects in the NY Metro area and will become certified AECOM Project Manager within 1 year of hire dateManage multi-discipline design team to produce high quality design deliverables, meet schedules and stay within project budgetsCoordinate construction phase services for both design-build and design-bid-build projectsRespond to client issued RFQ and RFPs, assist in marketing for Transit Rail pursuits Manage and mentor staff, be a visible leader and trusted advisor by promoting AECOM’s values both internally and externallyEffectively communicate expectations and requirements with both clients and team membersBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders to drive project success and identify future opportunitiesOversee development of project design schedules and project cost estimates

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering with four (4) years of relevant project management experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience &/or educationExperience managing schedule, budget, and technical quality of projectsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Eight (8) years of experience in transit/rail/transportationProfessional Licenses (i.e. - PE, RA)Experience with Design Build projectsDevelopment of bridging documents for Design-Build projectsExperience with NY metro rail agencies including MTA, PANYNJ and NJ TransitExcellent client management abilitiesDemonstrated ability to manage and mentor staffExceptional verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational skills, including the ability to complete varied work tasks on schedule Sponsorship is not available now or in the future for this role.
