We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Resident Engineer to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing large-scale construction projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Lead and supervise the on-site engineering team, ensuring efficient project execution and adherence to timelinesConduct regular inspections of workmanship and materials to maintain quality standards and compliance with project specificationsCoordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure project successReview and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and change ordersManage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively, implementing innovative solutions to overcome challengesEnsure compliance with UAE building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standardsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline project processes and enhance overall performanceImplement and oversee sustainable construction practices and LEED certification processesUtilize BIM technology to improve project visualization, coordination, and efficiencyMentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharingPrepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations for stakeholders Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred
Minimum of 20 years of experience in building engineering, with a focus on managing large-scale projectsProven track record in overseeing complex building projects in the Middle EastIn-depth knowledge of UAE construction standards, regulations, and best practicesStrong understanding of building development, construction methodologies, and quality control processesExcellent project management skills, including budget and schedule managementAdvanced problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detailOutstanding leadership and team management skillsStrong technical report writing and communication abilitiesExperience working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects simultaneouslyWillingness to work on-site and travel as required for project needsFamiliarity with local building codes and regulations in the UAEAbility to adapt to changing project requirements and implement innovative solutions At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
