About this role
We are seeking an experienced Architectural Inspector professional to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will oversee architectural quality standards and site compliance, ensuring all construction activities align with approved plans, building codes, and regulatory requirements. You will serve as a key liaison between the design team, contractors, and project management, maintaining the highest standards of construction excellence throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct comprehensive architectural inspections at various construction phases to verify compliance with design specifications, building codes, and UAE construction standardsSupervise on-site construction activities and coordinate with contractors to ensure adherence to approved architectural plans and quality standardsDocument inspection findings, prepare detailed reports, and maintain organized records of all site observations and corrective actionsIdentify and communicate design discrepancies, construction defects, or non-compliance issues to project stakeholders in a timely mannerReview and analyze construction materials, finishes, and workmanship to ensure they meet specified quality requirementsCoordinate with safety personnel to ensure all site activities comply with health and safety regulationsInterpret architectural drawings, specifications, and technical documents to assess construction progress and qualityCommunicate effectively with project teams, contractors, and clients regarding inspection results and recommendationsPrepare comprehensive site supervision reports and maintain detailed documentation for project recordsAnalyze construction methodologies and problem-solve issues that may arise during the building processEnsure proper sequencing of construction activities and coordinate between different trades on site Minimum 6 years of professional experience in architectural inspection and site supervisionComprehensive knowledge of building codes, construction standards, and UAE building regulationsProficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings, specifications, and technical documentsStrong understanding of construction materials, methods, and building systemsExperience with quality assurance and quality control processes in constructionDemonstrated expertise in site safety management and compliance protocolsExcellent organizational and time management skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesProficient communication and interpersonal skills with ability to coordinate multiple stakeholdersExperience with site documentation, reporting, and record-keeping systemsPreferred experience supervising high-rise or complex construction projectsPreferred background in project coordination or site managementAbility to work independently and make sound decisions in the fieldAttention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
