About this role
AECOM is currently seeking an experienced CEI Senior Landscape Inspector to join our growing team and support a variety of transportation infrastructure projects located in the Tampa Fl, area. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful work that helps shape the region's infrastructure while working alongside a collaborative and professional team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Oversees plant identification, classification, and grading in accordance with the “Grades and Standards for Nursery Plants” manual issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer ServicesApplies extensive experience and independent judgment to plan and accomplish project goalsEstablishes and manages project deadlines independentlyProvides on-the-job training and mentorship to new employeesMonitors conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and code requirements through detailed inspectionsConducts daily field inspections and maintains accurate inspection recordsParticipates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning activitiesTracks and reports on quality assurance progressContributes to documentation for area and equipment turnoversPerforms soil analysis and recommends amendments to support optimal plant growthOversees irrigation system installation and maintenance to ensure efficiency and water conservationCollaborates with project managers and contractors to resolve landscape-related issues and maintain project timelinesPrepares detailed landscape inspection reports, including photographic documentation and improvement recommendationsEnsures compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations related to landscaping and plant managementParticipates in pre-construction meetings to review landscape plans and identify potential improvements or concernsMonitors the health and condition of existing vegetation, recommending treatment or removal as needed Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma plus 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or educationU.S. Citizenship is required, due to the nature of the workValid US Driver’s License required to regularly drive AECOM vehicles to project sites. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records reviewPreferred Qualifications:
FDOT Intermediate MOTKnowledgeable of current Florida Department of Transportation methods for landscape and irrigation installationFDEP Stormwater Erosion and Sedimentation Control InspectorFlorida Licensed Landscape Architect or Florida Nursery Growers and Landscape Association (FNGLA) Certified Landscape ContractorInternational Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified ArboristInternational Society of Arboriculture Advanced Pruning*Relevant certifications are essential for ongoing advancement and enhanced opportunities for assignments*
Occasional overnight work and/or assignments outside of employee’s primary location may be required
