About this role

Manage day-to-day client collections for a defined project portfolioExecute the standardized collection process for allocated business line portfolioExecute standard processes across all locations to ensure consistency and qualityImplement best practices to drive collection efficiency and effectivenessDeliver key metrics to ensure compliance with service level agreements, KPIs, and benchmarks against industry leadersExecute collection processes and best practices for all billing typesInteract with collection leaders regarding matters related to working capital management and portfolio performanceMaintain detailed documentation and records of all collection activities, communications, and outcomes in compliance with company standardsIdentify and escalate complex collection issues to appropriate management levels and collaborate on resolution strategiesEmbrace an environment that encourages maximum productivity and service effectiveness, professional development, open communication, and teamworkUndertake appropriate training and knowledge transfer across all relevant business processesDeliver results in alignment with EMEA's financial targets and organizational objectivesAdhere to all Sarbanes-Oxley, internal policies, audit procedures, and regulations to ensure full compliance; monitor established control pointsMaintain working knowledge of key statutory impacts on the collection process and communicate relevant updates to the teamCollaborate with accounting, legal, and other departments to resolve billing disputes and ensure accurate revenue recognition Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Business Administration, or FinanceMinimum 4-5 years of professional experience in finance, with at least 3 years in collections, revenue recognition, or financial analysisProficiency in English at business professional levelDemonstrated knowledge of collections processes and best practicesUnderstanding of financial compliance requirements, including Sarbanes-Oxley regulations and audit proceduresExperience working with key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience managing collection portfolios across multiple locations or business linesFamiliarity with various billing types and revenue recognition methodologiesKnowledge of working capital management principlesExperience implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiencyProject management experience within a finance or collections environmentCertification in finance, accounting, or collections managementAdditional language proficiency beyond English At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
