About this role
AECOM is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) QS team. The role includes handling pre- and post-contract activities such as cost estimation, budgeting, contract administration, variation assessment, and payment evaluations for MEP works.
The Quantity Surveyor will work closely with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed efficiently, within budget, and in compliance with building regulations. Other responsibilities include reviewing engineering drawings and contractor proposals, preparing contract documents, attending site meetings, and maintaining good stakeholder relationships.
Responsibilities:
Support and advise on M&E services and consultancy workReview design briefs, contractor proposals, and engineering drawingsPrepare cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and cost analyses for MEP worksHandle pre- and post-contract administration and contract documentationAssess variation orders, valuations, payment claims, and final accountsAttend site and consultant meetings to coordinate on MEP mattersManage subcontractor works and repair/maintenance cost analysis Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering from a recognized University4-5 years postgraduate experience in the design, supervision, project management, cost estimate, tendering, pre and post contract administration of either mechanical or electrical disciplines may be considered for Senior PositionResponsible, self-motivated and enthusiasticGood interpersonal and teamwork skillsGood communication and written skills in EnglishApplicants who hold a Degree in Building or Quantity Surveying, and are conversant with mechanical and electrical building services may also be considered.
