About this role

We're looking for an Assistant Sustainability Consultant with a focus on Building Engineering to join our team in Cheung Sha Wan, Hong Kong. In this role, you will support the development and implementation of sustainable building solutions, working alongside experienced consultants to help clients achieve their environmental and operational goals. You will contribute to projects that promote energy efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and advance green building practices across the region.

Assist in conducting sustainability assessments and environmental impact analyses for building projectsSupport the development of green building strategies aligned with international standards such as LEED and BREEAMAnalyze building systems and performance data to identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvementsPrepare technical reports and documentation detailing sustainability recommendations and findingsCollaborate with engineering teams and clients to understand project requirements and constraintsResearch and evaluate emerging sustainability technologies and building practicesSupport the coordination of sustainability initiatives and project timelinesContribute to the modeling and analysis of building performance metrics and carbon footprint calculationsAssist in the preparation of sustainability certifications and compliance documentationParticipate in client meetings and presentations to communicate sustainability solutions Knowledge of building sustainability standards and green building certification systems (LEED, BREEAM, or equivalent)Understanding of building engineering principles, systems, and design practicesStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical data and environmental metricsExperience with sustainability assessment tools and software platformsProficiency in technical writing and report preparationFamiliarity with energy efficiency concepts and renewable energy systemsProject coordination and organizational skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis toolsPreferred: Experience with building information modeling (BIM) softwarePreferred: Knowledge of Hong Kong building codes and local environmental regulationsPreferred: Experience in HVAC, lighting systems, or renewable energy designPreferred: Familiarity with carbon footprint analysis methodologies At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
