We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Manager - Civil Construction to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of civil construction projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget compliance, and adherence to safety and quality standards. You will lead a diverse team of professionals and coordinate with stakeholders to drive project success in a dynamic construction environment.
Responsibilities:
Conduct regular on-site inspections of workmanship, materials, and construction activities to ensure adherence to project specifications and quality standardsSupervise and coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and laborers to ensure efficient project execution and timeline complianceReview and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and change orders in a timely mannerMaintain comprehensive project documentation, including daily reports, inspection logs, and technical recordsIdentify and resolve technical issues and discrepancies on-site, implementing innovative solutions to overcome construction challengesCoordinate with clients, consultants, and project managers to address concerns and ensure transparent communicationMonitor project budgets and schedules, reporting variances and recommending corrective actionsPerform material testing and quality assurance activities to verify compliance with project standardsPrepare detailed technical reports and presentations for project stakeholdersCollaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance overall project performanceSupport the implementation of sustainable construction practices and safety protocols on-siteMaintain organized records and utilize project management tools to track progress and deliverables Minimum 15+ years of professional experience in civil construction project managementProven expertise in managing large-scale construction projects with budgets exceeding several million dollarsStrong knowledge of construction management principles, methodologies, and industry best practicesProficiency in project management and construction management software platformsComprehensive understanding of safety regulations, building codes, and compliance requirementsDemonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams in a construction environmentExcellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a detail-oriented approachExceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagementExperience with budget forecasting, cost control, and financial managementPreferred: Experience working on construction projects in the UAE or Middle East regionPreferred: Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and construction standards in Abu DhabiPreferred: Experience in contract management and vendor/supplier coordinationPreferred: Familiarity with risk management and mitigation strategies in construction At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
