About this role
We're looking for a detail-oriented and organized CAD Operator to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and modifying technical drawings and designs using industry-standard CAD software. You will work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to translate concepts into precise digital models and documentation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy.
Create, modify, and optimize 2D and 3D CAD models and technical drawings based on project specifications and design requirementsInterpret and analyze design briefs, sketches, and technical documentation to produce accurate digital representationsOrganize and maintain CAD files, ensuring proper naming conventions, version control, and project documentationCollaborate with design and engineering teams to refine drawings and resolve technical issuesEnsure all drawings comply with industry standards, codes, and company specificationsPrepare detailed technical drawings for production, construction, or manufacturing purposesReview and verify drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project requirementsAssist in the development of design standards and CAD templates to improve workflow efficiencyCommunicate effectively with team members regarding project status, revisions, and technical specificationsTroubleshoot CAD software issues and optimize performance to maintain productivity Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar industry-standard programsDemonstrated experience creating and editing 2D and 3D technical drawings and modelsStrong understanding of technical drawing conventions, symbols, and industry standardsExcellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct errors in complex drawingsSolid analytical and problem-solving skills to address design challengesStrong organizational skills and time management abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to interpret engineering and architectural specifications accuratelyExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams10 years of professional CAD operation experience (preferred)Experience in manufacturing, construction, engineering, or architecture industries (preferred)Familiarity with project management tools and software (preferred)Knowledge of relevant industry standards and drawing protocols (preferred) At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
