About this role
We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Field Engineer - Electrical to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment at various client sites. You will work independently and collaboratively to ensure all systems operate efficiently and safely, while maintaining comprehensive technical documentation and adhering to industry standards.
Install, commission, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and components at project sitesConduct thorough site inspections and technical assessments to identify system performance issuesTroubleshoot electrical faults using diagnostic tools and analytical problem-solving techniquesPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment and power distribution systemsTest and verify equipment functionality using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and specialized diagnostic softwareEnsure strict compliance with safety protocols, electrical codes, and industry standards throughout all field operationsDocument all maintenance activities, repairs, and system modifications in technical reportsCollaborate with project managers, technicians, and other engineering teams to optimize system performanceIdentify opportunities for system improvements and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and reliabilityRespond promptly to emergency service calls and provide technical support as needed Proven 10 Years of experience in electrical field installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and industrial equipmentProficiency with diagnostic tools and testing equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, clamp meters)Solid understanding of electrical safety protocols and industry standards (IEC, NFPA, local regulations)Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detailAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentationOrganized approach to work with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficientlyStrong communication skills and ability to work effectively in team environmentsPreferred: Experience with PLC programming or automation systemsPreferred: Familiarity with CAD software or technical documentation systemsPreferred: Project management or supervisory experience in field operationsPreferred: Relevant electrical certifications or licenses At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
