About this role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Electrical Engineer - Design to join our engineering team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing electrical systems and components that meet our organization's technical specifications and industry standards. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative electrical solutions while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Design and develop electrical systems, circuits, and components using industry-standard CAD and simulation toolsConduct technical analysis and feasibility studies to evaluate design concepts and performance parametersCreate detailed schematics, technical drawings, and comprehensive documentation for manufacturing and implementationPerform circuit simulations and modeling to validate designs and optimize performance before productionCollaborate with mechanical engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of electrical componentsEnsure all designs comply with relevant electrical codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirementsTroubleshoot design issues and implement corrective measures to enhance system reliability and efficiencyParticipate in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet project deadlinesReview and evaluate vendor specifications and components for compatibility with design requirementsMaintain organized project files and documentation for traceability and future reference Proficiency in electrical CAD software such as AutoCAD, CATIA, or equivalent design toolsStrong knowledge of electrical design principles, circuit theory, and power distribution systemsExperience with electrical simulation and analysis tools (SPICE, MATLAB, Simulink, or similar)Demonstrated experience in schematic design and PCB layout developmentSolid understanding of electrical standards and codes (IEC, IEEE, or regional equivalents)Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detailAbility to create clear and comprehensive technical documentationExperience with project management and cross-functional team collaborationStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneouslyProficiency in technical communication and presentation skillsPreferred: Experience with power systems, renewable energy, or industrial electrical applicationsPreferred: Familiarity with the Saudi Arabian or Middle Eastern market and regional requirementsPreferred: Knowledge of advanced simulation tools and modeling techniques At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
