About this role

Position Overview:

Under general supervision, the QAQC Engineer performs quality assurance and quality control duties to ensure all installed commodities meet established specifications and design requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspection & Evaluation:

Independently perform walk-downs and inspections of installed commodities to assure conformance with specifications and design requirementsEvaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to meet basic engineering and construction specificationsConduct material testing and verification to confirm compliance with project specifications and industry standardsDisplay sound professional judgment on details of work and construction qualityDocumentation & Reporting:

Perform quantity surveys for tracking and reporting purposesDocument non-conformances and prepare corrective action reports with recommendations for remediationMaintain comprehensive quality records, inspection logs, and test documentation for project archival and regulatory complianceGenerate quality metrics reports and analyze trends to identify areas for continuous improvementTechnical Leadership & Coordination:

Provide technical direction to drafters, technicians, and surveyors as neededCoordinate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to communicate quality requirements and inspection findingsEnsure adherence to applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycleSupport site safety initiatives and quality assurance protocols to maintain a compliant work environment Required Qualifications:

Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in site supervision, quality assurance, and quality control on construction projectsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related engineering disciplineDemonstrated expertise in conducting inspections, material testing, and verification of construction commodities against specificationsProficiency in technical documentation, report writing, and maintaining comprehensive quality records and inspection logsStrong knowledge of applicable construction codes, industry standards, and regulatory compliance requirementsExcellent communication and coordination skills with ability to provide technical direction to team members and stakeholdersSound professional judgment and analytical skills for identifying non-conformances and recommending corrective actions

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificationQAQC or quality management certifications (ASQ, ISO 9001, or equivalent)Experience with quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologiesProficiency in construction management software and data analysis toolsBackground in site safety protocols and OSHA compliance
