The Qualified Supervisor is directly responsible for ensuring that all electricity networks are installed in a safe and professional manner to a high standard. Must have experience working on Commercial or Industrial Installs and those with experience working on the installation of Commercial EV charge point sites will be advantageous. As a Qualified Supervisor, you’ll act as the bridge between the Head of Electrical and our team of field engineers. You’ll ensure compliance, provide technical support and uphold high standards of quality and safety across all electrical installations.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the NICEIC Qualified Supervisor for the business, overseeing compliance with all relevant regulations and standardsLiaise with the NICEIC and oversee the annual assessmentCarry out and sign off electrical certifications, inspections and testing documentationTo be responsible for the operational management of HV and LV installationsTo manage and supervise engineers and subcontractors Support, mentor and guide electricians to ensure consistent technical excellence and continuing professional developmentTo carry out audits and inspections of the workplace, tools, equipment and company vehiclesTo prepare switching programs for approval by the SAP EngineerTo assist in the testing and commissioning of HV/LV distribution systemsTo understand local network anomalies and ensure correct phase rotationTo report all accidents and near missesTo undertake Site Specific Risk AssessmentsTo ensure Commercial Electricians fully understand and adhere to their job requirementsTo plan future work with the Head of Projects & Project Managers 18th Edition QualificationNVQ Level 2 and 3 in Electrical InstallationTest & Inspection qualification (C&G 2391 or equivalent)ONC or equivalent in Electrical EngineeringMinimum 3 years’ experience at QS levelStrong knowledge of the Electricity Supply, Quality, Continuity RegulationsStrong knowledge of the Electricity at Work RegulationsNICEIC ExperienceFirst Aid (Advanced)Risk Assessment Training (Advanced)Experience in distribution systems through the range 400v to 33kvAbility to read schematic drawings and understand contentStrong proven background within Electrical EngineeringNRSWA, SMSTS and CSCS/SHEA Power cards IDNO/DNO in date competencesFull UK driving license – willingness to travel and stay overnight if required Adler and Allan are committed to fostering diversity and inclusion in our workplace.
