Main duties of the job Your primary responsibility as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support the Care team in delivering exceptional care services. Key tasks include monitoring residents' wellbeing, participating in care planning, assisting with medication requirements, and supervising and mentoring staff. You will act as a central point of contact for residents, their families, and healthcare professionals, ensuring any requests or concerns are promptly addressed. Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be tosupportand work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive, andinclusiveenvironment for residents, visitors and staff.
Other responsibilitieswillinclude:
Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation. Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations. Supporting residents with their medication requirements. Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required. Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.

Our ideal candidatemust:
Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes. Have 2 years experience working in similar care environment. Have the ability tocommunicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Have a positive attitude to bothsupporting and nurturing residents and staff. Beresponsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Qualifications Essential
Candidates must possess an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care and have at least 2 years of experience in a similar care environment. Effective communication skills, a supportive attitude, and flexibility in undertaking various responsibilities are essential for the role.
