Job summary
A newly formed Humber & North Yorkshire Procurement Collaborative, hosted by Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, will provide procurement and supply chain services to it's Partner Trusts, and may extend over time to service other bodies within the Integrated Care System.
The three Partner Trusts have set an objective of creating a singleprocurement function which will help support the sustainable provisionof clinical and non-clinical services.
Main duties of the job
Working as a Supply Chain Operative within Hull University Teaching Hospitals you will contribute to the cleanliness, security and safety of equipment and stock throughout the Trust.You will work within clearly defined procedure using your own initiative on routine matters and refer to the Supplies Site Lead when necessary.
Responsible for taking delivery of product delivered to site, receipting allgoods delivered onto the e-Procurement system, stocking clinical and non-clinical areas with products delivered, putting away stock and maintaining stock rotation to minimise wastage and scanning to reorder stock against agreed stock levels.
You will work to ensure an efficient and effective customer focusedservice is provided for all staff across the site ensuring they can deliverexcellent patient care.
You will supervise up to 11 (depending on site) band 2 Supply ChainAssistants to ensure a consistent service is delivered to stakeholdersacross the Trust site. Experience of working in a stock management position whether that is receipt & distribution (warehouse) or stock management (materials management) Knowledge of risk assessments in busy working environments
