About this role
As a Dental Assistant, you’ll provide hands-on chairside support and help keep appointments running smoothly.
Your responsibilities will include:
Provide chairside assistance across a range of dental proceduresPrepare treatment rooms, instruments and equipmentClean, sterilise and maintain instruments in line with infection control requirementsKeep clinical areas clean, organised and well stockedSupport dentists and the wider clinical team during appointmentsHelp patients feel comfortable and at ease throughout their visitAssist with the smooth day-to-day running of the clinical area To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting, or at least two years’ dental assisting experienceSound knowledge of sterilisation and infection control proceduresFamiliarity with dental terminology, procedures and practice softwareA calm and friendly approach when working with patientsGood attention to detail and organisational skillsThe ability to work efficiently in a busy clinical environmentA reliable, team-focused approach and clear communication skills Why join 1300SMILES Cairns Central?
