About this role
As a Dental Assistant, you’ll be an important part of the clinical team, supporting our dentists and making sure our patients receive exceptional care.
Your day will include:
Assisting dentists and clinicians during a variety of dental proceduresPreparing treatment rooms and ensuring everything is ready to goSetting up and packing down rooms between patientsPreparing instruments, materials and equipmentCleaning, sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipmentFollowing strict infection control and sterilisation proceduresSupporting patients throughout their appointments and helping them feel comfortableProviding a warm and friendly welcome to patientsMaintaining clean, organised and well-stocked clinical areasAssisting with stock management and ordering when requiredSupporting the wider practice team with day-to-day tasksWorking closely with clinicians and the wider team to keep the day running smoothly We're looking for someone who brings energy, reliability and a great attitude to work every day.
You’ll ideally be:
Friendly, approachable and confident with patientsReliable and organisedA team player who enjoys working with othersComfortable working in a busy clinical environmentCalm under pressure and able to juggle competing prioritiesSomeone who takes pride in their workKeen to learn and develop their dental assisting skillsPassionate about providing great patient careHold a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration, or be willing to obtain onePrevious dental assisting experience is highly regarded, but attitude is just as important. If you’re enthusiastic, willing to learn and genuinely enjoy helping people, we want to hear from you!
