About this role
This is a casual position designed to provide cover across the practice during periods of annual leave, sick leave, and increased business demand. While there are no guaranteed hours, this role offers flexibility and the opportunity to gain valuable experience within a busy and professional dental environment.
As a Dental Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting our clinicians and ensuring patients receive outstanding care during their visit. No two days are the same, and you'll be a key part of keeping the practice running smoothly.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting clinicians during a variety of dental proceduresPreparing treatment rooms and instruments for patient appointmentsMaintaining high standards of infection control and sterilisationProviding reassurance and support to patients throughout their visitManaging stock and clinical suppliesSupporting the wider team with day-to-day practice operations To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:

Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand. Due to the casual nature of this role, we are particularly interested in candidates who live locally or within easy commuting distance of Palmerston North and can offer flexibility to cover shifts when needed.
