About this role
This is a predominantly chairside Dental Assistant role, with occasional reception support when required. Reception experience is not essential, as training can be provided.
Working closely with our dentists, hygienist, Practice Manager and front office team, you'll help deliver exceptional patient care and support the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice.
What your days look like:
You'll provide chairside support across a range of general, restorative and implant procedures while creating a positive experience for patients. As we welcome a third dentist to the practice, you'll play an important role in supporting our growing team.
We offer flexible working arrangements, including the option of a 9-day fortnight with every second Thursday off. Availability for the following roster is required:
Monday: 8:45am - 5:30pmTuesday: 9:45am - 7:30pmWednesday: 8:15am - 4:30pmThursday: 8:30am - 5:30pm (or every second Thursday off)Friday: 8:30am - 5:30pmYour responsibilities will include:
Providing chairside assistance and exceptional patient carePreparing treatment rooms and sterilising instruments in line with infection control standardsWelcoming patients and managing check-in and check-out processesScheduling appointments and recalls and managing phone enquiriesProcessing payments, HICAPS claims and health fund enquiriesMaintaining accurate patient records and billing informationSupporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice To succeed in the role, you will bring:
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant and/or a Certificate III in Dental Assisting (or higher)Knowledge of infection control and sterilisation protocolsConfidence using dental practice management software (desirable)A warm, welcoming manner that puts patients at easeClear and professional communication with patients and the teamReception experience is advantageous but not essential, as training can be providedA willingness to learn new systems and develop your skills across the practiceWorking With Children Check (WWCC), or willingness to obtain one Why join Maven Dental Burnside?
