Horizon Surgery Center Beaches, located on the campus of Baptist Medical Center, our physician-led ambulatory surgery center is dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered outpatient care. The facility features three active operating rooms specializing in Orthopedic Hand, General Surgery, and Neuro-Spine procedures.

Role Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) supports pre-op, PACU, and stepdown patient care at Orthopaedic Institute Surgery Center. This position is responsible for assessing patients, delivering individualized nursing care, monitoring recovery, and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient procedures and optimal outcomes.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, PRN hours variable
What You’ll Do
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in perioperative settings
Monitor patient status and respond to changes during recovery
Document accurately and communicate effectively with team members and patients
Maintain sterile environments and adhere to safety protocols
Support patient education and post-op instructions
What You’ll Bring
Graduate of an accredited RN program
Current FL RN license (unencumbered)
At least 1 year of OR or perioperative nursing experience (within last 3–5 years)
Current BLS (ACLS required within 6 months)
Preferred: Member of the Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN)
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
