The successful candidate will work closely with both administrative and clinical teams, demonstrating a professional and flexible approach within a busy working environment.
A key aspect of the role involves regular interaction with members of the public and a range of healthcare professionals; therefore, excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Duties will include using digital dictation systems, updating Test results and liaising with patients, general practitioners, and other Clinical staff.

Job description Job responsibilities
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- To assist with the smooth running of the Cardiology and Rheumatology administration services and work to prioritise and manage the workload.
-Accurately upload test from third parties and added to our EDM for the Consultants to review.
- Ensuring the ICE requests have been completed for patients attending for Echocardiograms.
Liaise with the Appointments Team to ensure Clinics are utlised fully for both Clinicians and diagnostic tests. Responsible for chasing outstanding test results. Responsible for typing up of clinics within 5 working days of clinic date. Responsible for dealing with email requests from pat.gp . Receive telephone enquiries from patients and deal with accordingly. Assist with the weekly PTL ensuring patients have been cashed up correctly in accordance with RTT Guidance. Any other tasks requested that may form part of a Secretarial role.

Qualifications Essential
Educated to level 4 (A Level/Diploma) or equivalent or able to demonstrate specialist knowledge within this field through practical experience
Desirable
NVQ Level 2 in administration or equivalent Evidence of further education
