About this role
As an Assistant Relationship Manager at Emirates NBD, your role is to support the Business Banking Relationship Managers in managing a growing SME portfolio by preparing credit proposals, conducting financial and risk analysis, and coordinating the end-to-end credit approval and documentation process. You will play a key role in improving turnaround time, strengthening portfolio quality, and ensuring customers receive timely support across Business Banking products and services. Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare full credit proposals, including business risk analysis, financial analysis, economic and industry risk assessment, and clear identification of strengths and weaknesses in proposed facility packages. • Support Relationship Managers by conducting comprehensive financial statement analysis and recommending corrective actions where required. • Prepare regular analysis reports on the financial performance of designated corporate entities and recommend appropriate credit decisions. • Follow up with clients and Credit Administration to complete security and lending documentation until facilities are booked, including fulfilment of required documents, collaterals, and conditions precedent. • Coordinate with the Risk Department on credit approvals, resolve related queries, and support presentations to the Lending Approval Committee. • Manage renewals and enhancements for existing customers by obtaining required documents in advance and submitting credit proposals before limit expiry. • Act as an intermediary between customers and internal departments, including Treasury, Trade Finance, Legal, and Credit teams, to resolve operational queries and support timely customer solutions.
Skills and Experience
• Graduate qualification is essential; postgraduate qualification with a financial specialisation is desirable. • 5–7+ years of banking, SME, corporate banking, or credit analysis experience, including 2 years in a credit support or credit analysis function. • Strong knowledge of banking products, services, credit systems, Business Banking facilities, and relevant compliance and operational risk policies. • Ability to conduct financial analysis, identify risks in credit proposals, understand market and industry trends, and prepare professional credit proposals, reports, memos, and spreadsheets.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
• Relevant certification in banking operations or credit administration preferred
• Ongoing professional development in regulatory compliance or digital banking
