About this role
Main Activities and Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)
• Lead, manage, and mentor a small to medium-sized CAD/BIM team (typically 5-20 staff).
• Plan, allocate, and monitor drafting and modelling resources across multiple projects.
• Develop, implement, and maintain CAD and BIM standards, procedures, and quality assurance processes.
• Provide technical leadership in the production of engineering drawings, BIM models, and digital deliverables.
• Support the delivery of complex underground infrastructure projects, particularly mined tunnels and associated underground structures.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, design managers, and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.
• Review and approve CAD and BIM deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements and company standards.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and increased efficiency within the digital delivery team.
• Manage software deployment, training, and technical support related to AutoCAD, Revit, and associated engineering design platforms.
• Support recruitment, performance development, and professional growth of team members.
• Foster a collaborative and positive team culture while maintaining high technical standards
Others (desirable)
• International project experience working with global engineering or construction teams.
• Experience with major tunnel, rail, metro, highway, or underground infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of BIM execution planning, common data environments (CDE), and digital engineering frameworks.
• Experience with Civil 3D, Navisworks, ProjectWise, Bentley applications, or similar digital delivery platforms.
• Professional engineering registration or membership of a recognised professional institution.
• Experience working within international design standards and multi-office project environments.
Qualifications (Minimum and desirable)
• Graduate of any technical course or at least three (3) years in BS Engineering or BS Architecture course • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related technical discipline. (preferred)
• Minimum 10 years' experience in CAD/BIM delivery within engineering consultancy, infrastructure, transportation, or underground construction sectors.
• Demonstrated experience in mined tunnel projects, underground structures, or major transportation infrastructure projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
• Proven experience managing or supervising a small to medium-sized technical team.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawing production, BIM workflows, model management, and digital project delivery.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively within multidisciplinary project environments.
