Major DutiesOperate large, complex riding lawn mower (e.g., multiple and independently controlled cutting decks) and/or specially designed riding mowers to mow in areas requiring attention to space and environment.Performs tasks that require significant manual skill, very heavy physical effort, several steps, phases, and detailed procedures (e.g., preparing ground for sod, flowers and shrubs) following drawings and specifications.Works under supervision of the leader or supervisor who provides general instructions, standard procedures and policies and relies on incumbent to complete assignments in a timely manner.Incumbent is responsible for selecting the most appropriate type of equipment to accomplish the work, following safety practices, obtaining assistance, and performing routine maintenance and adjustments on equipment.Performs other duties as assigned.
