A qualified candidate must possess the following: Have one (1) year work experience leading a staff of employees in support of recreational activities such as assisting with planning sponsored events, social activities, tournaments, and related functions. OR Have successfully completed a four (4)-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with major study or at least 24 semester hours in courses related to recreation or physical education. Claimed experience must be verifiable through your resume. Assumptions will not be made.
Major DutiesLeads a staff of 3-12 employees who perform work up to the NF-0189-03 level. Leads and reviews work assignments on a daily, weekly, or longer basis. Sets the pace of work to be performed.May train lower graded or new employees.May be required to help plan, conduct, publicize and arrange support for a variety of sponsored events, social activities, tournaments and related functions.Serves as a recreation assistant in support of recreational activities applying a practical knowledge of recreational activities and skills in the use of recreation materials, and facilities.
