Job SummaryYou will serve as a LEAD ENGINEER in the AEGIS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-04 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-12 and GS-13.
QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level ND-03 (GS 09/11 equivalent) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional Engineer evaluating and monitoring system engineering projects to coordinate assignments of Integrated Product Support and engineering deliverables for the ship weapon system certification process. Major DutiesYou will serve as the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Baseline Lead responsible for technical and programmatic leadership for developing, fielding, and maintaining Aegis Baselines/Capability Packages.You will service as the project engineer for engineering projects associated with the design, in-service engineering, installation, operation, and maintenance of assigned equipment.You will be responsible for a comprehensive program relative to the establishment and/or engineering review of over system design, interfaces, ship support interfaces, technical data and integration of major subsystems.You will plan and budget to meet future needs.
