Major DutiesYou will disassemble electrical equipment, trace circuits, locate defects, cleans and replaces parts, renews wiring/brushes, electrical connections, and insulating parts as necessary.You will layout, fabricate, and assembles switchboards, installs control or safety devices, transformers, shunts, and recording instruments on switchboards.You will identify, install, test and repair circuits, electrical cable and wiring systems for ships power, light, communications, and control circuits.You will install connection boxes, switches, indicator panels, and other connecting or controlling equipment.You will manufacture and repair switchboards for main propulsion, other power and various communication systems of the ship, and repair various electrical equipment appliances.You will prepare necessary software such as work permits, tag outs, and pre-tests.
