Job SummaryYou will serve as an AEROSPACE OR MECHANICAL ENGINEER Propulsion Systems Branch Head in the Adversary Fleet Support Team (FST) within the FST Group of FLTREADCEN EAST.
QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal Service, with expertise in Fleet Support Team (FST) Engineering, developing program sustainment and acquisition engineering support, effectively managing technical and professional services required to sustain a weapon system, and evaluating new approaches, guides and standards to make engineering decisions. Major DutiesYou will be responsible for day to day technical and supervisory (performance, selections, discipline, and training) oversight of all branch/subordinate level engineers and related technical support personnel as assigned by the FST.You will investigate, research, and determine applicability of major modifications for the program.You will be responsible for financing the FST branch assigned resources regarding training, workload execution, workload prioritization, and capabilities development for multiyear projections.You will manage the requirements for qualified personnel, processes, facilities, and ensures training/requirements are translated into sound engineering products.You will monitor performance of engineering technical analyses, engineering investigations, economic analyses and support services provided directly to the operational community.You will ensure industrial planning and support of platform systems, components, and field team work/maintenance is accomplished efficiently.
