A qualified candidate must possess the following: One (1) year work experience leading a staff of employees in support of recreational activities such as assisting with planning sponsored events, social activities, tournaments, and related functions. OR Has successfully completed a four (4)-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with major study or at least 24 semester hours in courses related to recreation or physical education. AND Can obtain a valid driver's license. Claimed experience must be verifiable through your resume. Assumptions will not be made.
Major DutiesLeads a staff of 3-12 employees who perform work up to the N F-0189-03 level. Leads and reviews work assignments on a daily, weekly, or longer basis.Sets the pace of work to be performed. May train lower graded or new employees.Serves as a recreation assistant in support of recreational activities applying a practical knowledge of recreational activities and skills in the use of recreation materials, and facilities.May be required to help plan, conduct, publicize and arrange support for a variety of sponsored events, social activities, tournaments and related functions.May be required to operate a government vehicle.
