QualificationsPROGRAM ANALYST, GS-0343-9: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-07 level experience in the application of the National Guard organizational structures, functions, procedures, and techniques; Experience using computer and automation systems; Experience in the application of practices, theories, techniques, and methods of management; Experience analyzing, interpreting, and developing policies and procedures of local management. Major DutiesTHIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION. The primary purpose of the PROGRAM ANALYST, GS-0343-9, is to serve as the program manager over the Strong Bonds program, responsible for developing, implementing and administering the Strong Bonds program to the state of CA, and serves as an assistant to the full-time state Chaplain. Serves as key coordination point for all Strong Bonds program requirements. May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance.RequirementsCALIFORNIA NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in the California National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Must maintain appropriate level of security clearance. May be required to successfully complete a one or two year trial period. Must wear appropriate military uniform including required grooming standards. Must maintain a compatible military unit, grade and job assignment as required by current directives. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. Security Clearance: at a minimum a National Agency Check is required.
