Job summary Avery Healthcare is hiring a Laundry Assistant at Astbury Manor Care Home in Bracknell. As a Laundry Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality laundering services, which is vital for maintaining the care standards of residents. You will work flexible hours from 8:00 to 16:30 across weekdays and weekends. Main duties of the job Your focus as Laundry Assistant will be to support the Head Housekeeper in providing a laundering service as part of the hospitality services function. Responsibilities include carrying out all laundering duties, understanding wash guide instructions, and practicing safe work systems, particularly in moving and handling loads. The role requires contributing to teamwork by responding positively to colleagues and acting promptly on reasonable work instructions. The successful candidate will demonstrate a positive attitude towards residents and have experience in a similar setting or hotel environments. A DBS disclosure check is required and will be funded by Avery Healthcare.

Your focus as Laundry Assistant will be to supportthe Head Housekeeper in providing a laundering service insupportof the hospitality services function, ensuring a high-quality and comprehensive care service is delivered to residents.
Other responsibilities will include:
Carryingout all laundering duties. Understanding wash guide instructions, laundering requirements of a wide range of textiles and the properties of cleaning materials to ensure that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition. Practicing safe systems of work across various tasks, particularly moving and handling loads, by assessing risk and considering personal safety and the safety of residents, visitors, and staff. Contributing fully to teamwork, responding positively to colleagues, and promptly acting on all reasonable work instructions.
