We have an exciting opportunity within our Resource Scheduling Department here at The North East Ambulance Service Foundation Trust. We are looking for quick thinking, energetic people who are organised and like to be part of a great team, there are lots of opportunities for further learning and development as well as working closely and collaboratively with the Operational staff around the Trust.
You will be required to support operations with a specific focus on working pattern flexibility, staff rota's, ensuring that capacity and demand is met, and that clinical colleagues and resources are allocated and utilised appropriately. You will need to work independently without direct day to day supervision and be able to time manage appropriately.

Main duties of the job
To be a main point of contact for operational and support services staff to ensure that production of core rotas and schedule resources effectively according to the needs of the business.
All information held on the Global Rostering System (GRS) within the Trust are accurate and conform to Working Time Directive Regulations and Data Protection Act requirements. Training will be given for this.
To ensure that all staff have the correct hours according to their contract, annual leave allowance allocated to them in line with service level agreements and working time legislation.
To manage colleagues annual leave, sickness, training, rotas and various abstractions to ensure service level agreement.
To ensure the timely provision of analytical and statistical information from the Rostering system is correct, transparent and up to date.
It is important that you a computer literate as you will be required to work on our Global Rostering System and Microsoft Excel and Word on a daily basis.

Person Specification
Education & Qualifications Essential
NVQ Level 3 or Diploma in relevant discipline or significant previous relevant experience
Desirable
ECDL Recognised qualifications in Microsoft Excel to an advanced leve
Experience Essential
Experience of database management Experience of managing own time, using initiative, prioritizing workload and working to strict timescales Experience of working within a Team. Experience of people management issues in relation to rostering requirements. Experience of Training others. Experience in preparation of reports and presentations Experience of Training others.
Desirable
Experience in the use of GRS or similar rostering system. Experience of major working pattern redesign and implementation onto GRS.
Key Skills Essential
Excellent knowledge of IT, literacy and numeracy skills Able to analyse reports, interpret complex statistical data and draw conclusions from them.
