Job summary
The PCN Support Care Coordinator will provide support to the Strategic and Operational Lead in managing the administrative duties across Enhanced Access services, HR and payroll, and wider PCN activities.
The postholder will coordinate clinical session scheduling and rota management, oversee data reporting and and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. They will also support HR and Payroll administration, including onboarding, compliance tracking, while assisting with key PCN functions such as PCN DES reporting and submissions. The PCN Support Care Coordinator role is central to maintaining efficient service delivery and supporting teams across the network.

We are excited to be recruiting a PCN Support Care Coordinator to be part of Pendle East Primary Care Network (PCN), which is a collaboration of 5 GP Practices within the Lancashire/Yorkshire border who collectively care for over 47,500 patients. The PCN member practices are located at 4 sites: 2 GP Practices within a large modern purpose-built building and 3 GP Practices a short drive away. The PCN is determined to meet the challenges of modern primary care by working innovatively and growing our multi-disciplinary team to provide a holistic approach to our patient population. The PCN team already includes; Strategic and Operational Lead, Social Prescribing Link Workers, Health & Wellbeing Coaches, Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Paramedics, Mental Health Practitioners and Care Coordinators.

Enhanced Access Coordination
Configure EMIS clinical sessions and appointment slots weekly using the staff rota
Manage appointment embargo and release rules in line with Enhanced Access specification
Run weekly Hub Appointments Allocations report
Complete 2WW and urgent referral audit; follow up with practices
Coordinate monthly Spoke Data submission across Pendle East and Pendle West
Monitor EA shared email account: act on cancellations, urgent radiology flags, session changes
Process patient Accurx messages for cancelled appointments
HR & Payroll Support
Collect staff mileage and expense claims each month
Submit collated expenses to payroll provider
Maintain TeamNet HR records: training compliance, registration, indemnity, DBS and contracts Onboard new starters onto TeamNet prior to first working day
Monitor absence on TeamNet and flag threshold breaches to the Operational Lead
Coordinate appraisal scheduling and document filing
Maintain equipment asset register and FOB access log
PCN Operational Support
Maintain PCN contact directory and shared operational records
Provide meeting support for clinical director, agendas, minutes and action log distribution
Draft routine communications to practices on behalf of the Operational Lead
Support ARRS claims administration: collate hours, payslips and invoices as directed
Support DES reporting data preparation and MDT coordination admin
Person Specification
Experience Essential
Minimum 2 years working in a GP practice, PCN or NHS primary care setting Understanding of PCN ARRS roles and how a network operates Proficient in EMIS Web appointment setup, slot management, report running (essential assessed at interview) Competent in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) Ability to manage recurring administrative processes accurately and to deadline Experience maintaining records and registers to a high standard Experience of minute-taking and action log management Professional handling of sensitive and confidential information Proactive in identifying and resolving operational problems Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
Desirable
Experience with Accurx, TeamNet, NHS Jobs Familiarity with AMS/Modular payroll or PCSE portal HR administration or payroll support experience Experience coordinating data submissions or audit processes Experience supporting a senior manager and or clinical lead in a busy environment Awareness of NHS information governance obligations
Qualifications Essential
GCSE Grade 4-C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent)
Desirable
Level 3 qualification in health, admin or business NHS care coordinator training or equivalent
