The Key Medical Practice sits at the heart of its community in Kidlington, providing accessible, high-quality primary care to the patients and families who depend on it. As part of PML's portfolio of practices, it benefits from the resources and governance of a wider federation while retaining the personal, continuity-focused care that defines good general practice.
The team delivers the full breadth of primary care services, from routine appointments and chronic disease management to urgent care and preventative health, ensuring every patient receives safe, effective, and compassionate support. Working closely with operational managers and senior leadership, the team oversees patient care delivery, appointment coordination, clinical record management, and service performance monitoring.
The practice ensures that all services remain aligned with NHS standards and regulatory requirements, while upholding a commitment to delivering accessible, patient-centred care to the Kidlington community.
Main duties of the job
The GP provides safe, effective, and high-quality patient care within a supportive environment. Working alongside an experienced mentor, the role focuses on developing clinical confidence and competence while contributing to routine practice operations. The GP will share an equal workload, support one or two areas of special interest, and actively participate in medical education.

Principal Medical Limited (PML) was established in late 2003 as a not-for-profit healthcare federation. Originally created to bring General Practices together in delivering at-scale healthcare solutions for UK National Health Service (NHS) patients, we have since grown to include its own extensive range of nationally-recognised Community Services and wholly-owned and operated General Practices.
Today PML employs more than 270 staff, comprising both clinical and non-clinical experts, all dedicated to delivering the very best care for our patients across Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire. Patient Care
Make appropriate clinical decisions on presenting problems within the scope of competence, seeking advice and support from a mentor or senior colleagues when required. Assess health needs of patients with undifferentiated or undiagnosed conditions under supervision when necessary. Provide screening, diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care in line with current protocols. Develop individualised care plans in consultation with patients, aligned with best practice and guidance. Experience Essential
Recent experience in general practice (can be during training). Exposure to multidisciplinary team working Understanding of clinical governance and patient safety principles

Qualifications Essential
Full GMC registration with a licence to practice Completion of GP training and inclusion on the GP register
