Job summary
Due to continued investment in our Oncology services, we are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to be the nurse lead across the 5 Oncology Day Units.
This role will be pivotal in supporting the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care across our the ODU's and in partnership with our ODU managers, Consultant Oncologists to deliver high quality care
The postholder will be working at Master's level across the four pillars of advanced practice:-o Expert clinical practice in SACT on the units, supporting staff in their clinical skills/decisons.o Leadership within the oncology/SACT speciality, influencing service development, reducing variations across the Day units o Education and training, supporting colleagues across the teams, working closely with the specilaity educatoro Quality improvement and research, driving innovation and supporting delivery of the NHS Cancer Plan, & the Non Surgical Oncology agenda.
The Advanced Clinical Practitioner will work collaboratively with Clinical/MDT teams, and the Senior Business Unit team to support the delivery of the non-surgical oncology agenda on the Oncology Day Units and ensure safe, effective pathways for patients receiving SACT.

Advanced knowledge and experience in Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT)Demonstrable expertise in Acute Oncology managementStrong autonomous clinical assessment and decision-making skillsWork within the multidisciplinary teams and contributing to service developmentProven leadership within the oncology speciality, with a track record of driving improvements in patient care and service deliverySkilled in quality improvement, audit and research within the oncology speciality.Non Medical prescriber

Use advanced knowledge and skills in to undertake comprehensive clinical assessments, make decisions based on clinical reasoning and initiate, evaluate and modify a range of interventions for patients receiving SACT.Provide professional senior clinical leadership and support within the specialty multi professional team and across service boundariesSupport the wider team to build capacity and capability through work-based and interprofessional learning, and the application of learning to practice. Qualifications Essential
Professional registration with NMC / HCPC / GPC Masters level qualification in Advanced Practice Prescribing qualification (where legally permitted) Evidence of relevant, recent study continuing education Mentorship qualification Independent and supplementary non-medical prescriber (where legally permitted)

Experience and Knowledge Essential
