Due to continued growth across our HV/MV, Energy, Power, and Renewable divisions, Suir Engineering is seeking experienced Lineworkers to join our expanding team in Ireland. Suir Engineering is a leading provider of electrical, power, and energy infrastructure solutions, delivering complex projects across the transmission, distribution, renewable energy, and industrial sectors. This is an excellent opportunity to work on some of Ireland’s most significant energy infrastructure projects, with voltage levels ranging from 10kV to 400kV. Key Responsibilities Carry out cable jointing and termination works on MV and HV power cable systems from 10kV to 400kV. Perform cable testing, fault-finding, diagnostics, and repair activities. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, cable route plans, and construction documentation. Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards and within project timelines. Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, supervisors, and site teams. Maintain full compliance with company Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) procedures. Complete all documentation and reporting requirements associated with jointing activities. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain industry certifications and technical competence. Requirements Qualified and experienced HV/MV Cable Jointer with proven experience on power cable systems. Experience with cable jointing and terminations across transmission and distribution networks. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, cable installation practices, and industry safety standards. Ability to interpret technical drawings and project specifications. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in a variety of environments, including substations, renewable energy sites, and outdoor locations. Full, clean driver's licence. Flexibility to travel throughout Ireland as project requirements dictate. Relevant industry certifications and authorisations are desirable.
